First time and ww will definitely be back. Hubby had the pulled pork burger with homemade chips and I had the bacon cheeseburger and homemade chips. Also got an order of onion rings and banana pudding to share. Everything was fresh hot and delicious.
This place was amazing. It was a COLD, slow Saturday afternoon but the service and food was fresh and top notch. The food: I had the pulled pork cheese burger. It is exactly what it sounds like. A toasted sesame seed bun spread with what I can only describe as yum yum sauce, delicious pulled pork topped with BBQ sauce on a perfectly cooked, medium, cheese burger, topped with caramelized onions and pickles. The freshly made chips are an art long lost but this place has the secret. Perfectly crisp, not burned, and seasoned just right. My wife had the bacon cheese burger. She said it was phenomenal. Crisp bacon over a cheeseburger with special sauce, caramelized onions, and pickles all on a toasted sesame seed bun. She also enjoyed the chips. We shared a basket of their freshly made onion rings. The breading was unlike anything I've had before. It was sweet, salty, and savory all at the same time. The coup de grace to the meal was a plate of banana pudding. I'd say 4 of 5 best banana pudding I've ever had. The only one that beats it out is my aunt's homemade banana pudding from scratch. The service: Our waiter was fantastic. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He kept our glasses full, came back enough to make sure everything was good but not too much then offered up dessert which I had already had my heart set on. The Atmosphere: when we first walked in we thought they were much smaller than they really are. They have an entire dining area to the side of the entry way. This really gives a good amount of seating for several groups. The booths are very spacious. You could easily stay a group of 4 to 6 comfortably. Many large and small tables make it the perfect area for a large get together, birthday party, or wedding reception. If you have a large group I'd recommend contacting them first to make sure you have room for everyone but I highly recommend them. As an aside, I'd like to point out that this is a BBQ joint. No they do not have vegan items .
I'm completely shocked this place was empty! The food smells amazing already when you walk in, the atmosphere is totally cute and welcoming. I will post pictures of our food hopefully before I start eating! **UPDATE** ABSOLUTELY MUST TRY!! The pulled pork Mac n cheese is definitely homemade, it's thick and creamy, the pulled pork is mouth watering and sooooo delicious!! My husband ate his pulled pork sandwich so quick I almost didn't have time to snap a pic . I wasn't a fan of the slaw but I'm very picky about my slaw.. definitely can't wait to go back so that we can sit down and try an actual full menu meal!
Holy mackerel, the FOOD. The FLAVOR. These folks know smoked brisket and BBQ, among the best we've ever had. Prices are super reasonable, and you will get plenty. Try the peach cobbler for extra happiness! This is our new favorite BBQ place. Bought some lemongrass seasoned ribs for my son and snuck a taste, geez Louise. Amazing.
The special sandwich (shown in the pic) is amazing! Southwest eggrolls are the perfect comfort food. Fried okra is NEVER over fried and hard. I'm so glad that they are open on Sunday!
It's just a little place in Del City, but oh my God! The BBQ is frankly transcendent. I got the loaded baked potato with two meats and as you can see- "loaded" means business. My buddy got the brisket sandwich and ate it so fast I almost didn't get a picture! If you're looking for a fancy place with cloth napkins, this isn't your stop. But if you want a place with phenomenal food, fair prices, warm atmosphere, and friendly, attentive service, stop in at #1 BBQ and Burger. You won't regret it.
Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - we're on our ribs adventure and this rack of ribs was absolutely amazing! The ribs were smoked hard with a slight flavor and a crispiness to the outside to compliment the tender juiciness on the inside. They do include part of the soft cartilage which was even softer in texture and absolutely lovely with their BBQ sauce. Service: 5/5 - friendly and quick service even as it was getting to the end of the day Ambiance: n/a - ordered food to go Value for price: 5/5 - slightly more expensive than the recent few places we've been but absolutely worth it for the serving size, friendly service, and delicious food!
